Case StudyTietoEnator Oyj, Espoo, Finland"Multilizer cut our localization cycles dramatically and minimized the manual work that previously was needed to localize our Oracle application. Investment was paid back in a few months because of Multilizer's automated localization process" - Pasi Leskinen, Tietoenator The objective of maintenance in industry is to optimize the availability and operational reliability of production machinery at a minimum cost and to ensure safety and adequate environmental performance. Maintenance is an essential part of all industrial production activities, and it has a direct impact on business productivity and profitability.
PowerMaint is used by a great number of industrial and service companies in 12 countries. It is essential that users are able to use PowerMaint in their native language. The PowerMaint application is developed with Oracles Forms and Reports. We wanted to develop our existing localization process because of the big amount of manual work involved in it. With Multilizer, we have been able to minimize the manual work and streamline the whole localization process including the translation phase, which we have outsourced to our local offices and partners. Multilizer includes a free of charge translation tool that can be sent to the translator along with the translation project. Multilizer makes Oracle developer's life easy and definitely saves developer's time compared to the native way of creating multilingual Oracle applications. Multilizer is user friendly and the introduction to new user is easy. As we have made a support and maintenance agreement with Multilizer, the response time from Multilizer's technical support is very short. The migration from our previous localization process to Multilizer was very smooth and we were able to re-use all the previous translations. Adding support to a new language is also simple, and no extra software development is needed. As our software developers work at different locations, we installed Multilizer's translation memory on a server database, so that every developer uses exactly the same translations. This also minimizes the extra translation work. We have used Multilizer almost for a year now and there is no turning back! Pasi Leskinen,
